Hello sweet friends!
Not that it should surprise you, but my recent days have been filled with warm snuggly drinks and the Hallmark Channel. Oh, and a house remodel. But that’s for another day. For several days now, I’ve been trying to think of a fun blog topic, but that ole’ brain train just wasn’t chugging. And then all of a sudden, DINGDONG! I decided to do the most basic post I could ever do – IT’S ABOUT MY NEW PLANNER.
I know that Walmart sells planners. I know that Walgreens sells planners. But did you know that the internet is full of tons of other planners from crazy people just like you and me?! In the past I’ve used Erin Condren and Day Designer, but I always like to try new things…because why not? 🙂
Since my dear mommy is the one who made me the OCD person that I am, she took it upon herself to do the planner shopping this year. Guys. It was the best early Christmas present I could have ever dreamed of. It’s called the PRAYERFUL PLANNER AND IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL.
See. (This particular design is currently sold out, but there are tons of other beauties!)
Let’s break it down.
In the front it has all kinds of fun activiites for the beginning of the year; Top 3 “Grace Goals”, Word of the Year, Verse of the Year, a daily check-off spot if you’ve done your devotional AND this nifty little dry-erase thing that slips in anywhere on the spiral ring that you can write quick notes and erase them when you finish. It came with the pen too. I was stoked.
Each month is tabbed with the most beautiful GOLDEN tabs. It has the month laid out across both pages and a spot to mark your habits.
AND THEN COMES THE DAILY BREAK-DOWN. (I’m LOLing at the fact that I consider “daily break-down” a positive thing right now, because usually it’s bad when that happens. I’m full of jokes.) For reals though. Each day has it’s own page. At the top you have a verse, a spot for your top 3 priorities for that day, a place to fill in Praise & Gratitude and a place for physical health. Under that, the day is broken down by the hour from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. To the right you have a blank space to write notes and on the bottom is a blank space for your Prayer Journal. THIS IS FOR EVERY DAY, GUYS. EEEEEK!
On the site you can also order special “planner pens” because that’s the next step to being a crazy person. Personally, I’m a fan of the Sharpie pens, and since they come in multi-color packets now, my life is complete and I have no further worries (if any of you family members out there are looking for a stocking stuffer idea…).
I know it’s important not to wish days away, but I’m 100% ready for January because I NEED to use my planner right now. I’m already carrying it around with me in case anything comes up that I need to jot down in there. And also because I’m a dork. But that was never really much of a secret.
So that’s that. If you haven’t already gotten your planner for next year, take a look at this! All of the brand names I’ve listed above are linked to that site, so I gotcha covered. 😉
Fingers crossed I can manage to write another post before 2018. If not, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
